Many student little bit confuse about Distance and Displacement
Let us see define first
Distance- it is total path covered by any body to reach from one point to an other
Distance is a scalar quantity
Displacement- it is the shortest distance that a body take reach the from one point to another
displacement is a vector quantity
one question could be raised that
Is distance and Displacement can be equal
Answer - No
because distance is a scaler quantity and displacement is vector quantity
If we talk about Magnitude only than we can say both may be Equal
